Job description:

eDesign Group is Puerto Rico’s leading home electronic systems integration company, designing and installing state-of-the-art home theater, whole-house audio, lighting control, motorized shading and home networking.

This entry-level position will be assisting the Lead Audio Visual Technician on the installation of audio/visual systems and related equipment in high-end residential environments that allow customers to turn technology into an enhanced lifestyle experience. Assistant AV Technician would work alongside other technicians as well as work solo from time to time.

Responsibilities:

– Under the direction of a Lead Technician, complete daily and weekly assignments as planned and communicate project needs, issues and status.
– Establish and maintain a positive, professional attitude with clients, site supervisors, project partners, and other trades that are on our projects.
– Desire to learn and grow alongside company.

Note:
*** This position requires driving to different locations for installations, and to our warehouse in Carolina, PR.

Duties (Essential Functions):

– Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cables between audio, video, data, and control equipment.
– Running/fishing/terminations of low voltage wiring.
– Installation of TVs, TV mounts, in-wall and ceiling speakers, projectors, motorized shades and home networking.
– Clean installation debris after all service and installation visits.
– Perform fleet vehicle clean up weekly as assigned.
– Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Must be able to communicate, read and write in English.
– Ability to take and follow direction with a good attitude and execute it.
– Team player, works well with others and is willing to learn new skills.
– Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
– Must remain smoke-free while on site with customers and while operating fleet vehicles.
– Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction is also a big plus.
– Work as an independent contractor.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

– Must be able to lift or maneuver objects, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking and standing on a regular basis while performing job duties.
– Includes working in indoor and outdoor work environments.
